I learned about Whole30 and Paleo eating while pregnant with Sebastian. At my anatomy scan I not only found out I was having a son but also that my son had a rare disease. After that I kept eating brownies as my copying mechanism. From 19 weeks to 39 weeks, all I got were bad news. The worst part was from 20 to 24 weeks, ours doctors were worried that Sebastian would go into heart failure and that I could mirror his symptoms. All the brownies I ate made me gain 55 pounds. I had a pretty traumatic birth, I might talk about it in the future but for I will just say that all the liquids I received, left me very swollen for weeks to come. At 4 weeks postpartum I did my first whole30 and I loved it. to be honest I did it with the intentions of loosing the weight. I always believed I had no health issues. well boy I was wrong. The benefits where so fantastic that I was hooked. A couple months later I did another one with my husband and we both decided we wanted to stay eating Paleo. This is the journey of that decision.
